CLUB HISTORY
The Cox Wrestling Club formerly known as the Great Neck Wrestling Club; was started as a way to fund and support the high school program. The other underlying purpose was to introduce young atheletes to the sport of wrestling.The Cox Wrestling Program has been one of the best organizations of the state since its inception.
The program has now evolved into a organization of great magnitude. Due to its longevity the club is considered the premier program in the Beach District. The evolution of the club has spawned a variety of levels. The elementary and middle school levels have strived to become the forefront and base success for the high school program.
The Club now provides support to all three levels and continues to improve yearly. Alumni have always returned to show support and its looks as though that tradition will continue. Hardwork, dedication, desire, Cox pride and Cox tradition have always been the backbone of our success. |
